A leading British expert Professor of the Sheffield University Bill Ledger is warning that one out of seven couples cannot have children, and in ten years every third European family will this problem. The main reason, according to the expert, is obesity and sexual infections. A significant role is also played by career aspirations of women, because they postpone their future motherhood for a later date when the possibility of having various reproductive health problems is much higher. Also a growing percentage of male infertility because of lower quality and average amount of sperm has been indicated. According to professor Ledger, sexual health of the younger European generation predisposes the majority of them in the future to become the patients of the infertility treatment clinics. (BBC News)
