Technologists created a new device for sorting of damaged sperm

Australian scientists have developed a device Gradiflow that separates the sperm with damaged DNA from healthy before the IVF procedure. The operation of the device based on the observation that the DNA is damaged to a lesser extent in negatively charged membranes. Gradiflow is currently undergoing some clinical trials. The authors believe that the use of Gradiflow will improve the fertilization rate and decrease the rate of miscarriage.
